You are getting as far as New York, then it looks like the router there doesnt know how to get to the datacentre that we are hosted in.

I dare say it *should* get resolved over a period of time... I dont think even a support call to your internet provider will help because its a router not under their control... however they may be able to put in a different route at this end to take a different path... so it cant hurt to drop them a line and explain whats going on.

CiD Help is a Malware and Adware. You could get this Malware if you download a software from some un-trusted web sites.

CiD Help will hijack your Internet Explorer and give you annoying popup windows every few minutes.

You can not stop CiD Help (cid.exe process) from Windows Task Manager.

However, you can remove this piece of junk from your computer as following:

1, To remove CiD Help, go to Start–>Settings–>Control Panel–> Add and Remove Programs, then select CiD Help,

click remove.

2, Open IE (IE7, this example), go to Tools–>Intenet Options–> General tab–>Browser history–>Delete–>Temporary

Internet Files–>Delete.

3, Open “ C : \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data ” folder ,search for folders have exe extension file.

Delete the folder

4, Use your Windows Explorer , navigate to C :\ WINDOWS \ system32 \ drivers \ etc , use a text editor to remove the

following entries from the hosts file:

As of March 4, 2007, none of anti-Adware and anti-Spyware softeware, including Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE,

AVG anti-Spyware can remove CiD Help.

NOT TOO SURE ABOUT HOW CURRENT THE LAST LINE IS STILL...

I don't suppose a winsock reset would do anything....
In a cmd prompt type:
netsh winsock reset <- this will require you reboot..
also try:
netsh interface ip reset

Can you ping the psb ip address?
ping 70.87.57.130

Also, no need for screen dumps, you should be able to right click in a cmd window, click mark to highlight and then hit the enter key to copy that to your clipboard...

Also, why is PSB hosted overseas? I would've thought having it locally (perhaps even on a WAIX resource) would be better for bandwidth??? Surely psb as a registered business can get a .com.au domain.... Not criticising here, just curious...

Or not get that far?

I reckon your ISP was on the naughty list or something...

There is one folder

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Link Axis Bat Wave

File is called 32 Cake.exe

Should there be no executable files in the App data folder???

Sounds dodgy...

Try running HijackThis.
Download that, and run the scan and save the log somewhere, then open it up, and paste it here/pm me and I'll see if anything odd stands out. Otherwise, try the usual spyware stuff... spybot, adaware, et al.

i thought you worked in IT? if so...

i've got a couple of .com.au domains, Deej has tons, and they're all hosted offshore. just because it's a .com.au doesn't mean it has to be hosted in australia.

and with regards to the server being not local - you try to lease a dedicated server with 6 Terrabytes of bandwidth and multiple backbone connections and extremely fast thruput here in australia. can't do it sunshine, and the very few places that will do it charge at least 5x times what it costs compared to hosting in the US.

:O

Fair enough. I wonder what the go is for sites like OCAU. Mind you they whore themselves out with advertising a lot more than PSB does. I figured it would be down to cost.... Didn't realise that the bandwidth couldn't be had though.
