Hi all

Thought I would document the changes being made to my 04 Z1000 as they happen.

Not everything I will do will seem common sense and will be doing this on a budget as to not bankrupt myself. It will be in my weird sense of taste and liking.

I am sure I will make a few bad buys and decisions but I guess this is how I will learn.

So firstly here is my friendly Z1000





Firstly I have decided to do the Mirrors being that this model has had a terrible wrap for them vibrating and extremely hard to see past your body. As you can see they are not to everyone's taste as I didn't like the little 2 or 3 inch round barend mirrors and chose the Napoleon Style barend mirror.





As you can see I had to make it fit being that the original fixing that come with the mirrors could not be used so a drill bit and a trip to T.J. Venables for fixing had me being able to fit these to the existing Bar/Barend Weights. (Thanks to Wangara Mack 1 for helping with the removal of the original barend weights which are locktited into position from factory)




As you can also see some new Grips were added as the original ones were showing there age and were getting a little hard also.

Anyhow more to come in the coming months ie: Zorst, Cowl, Fairings (well what you could call fairings on a naked bike)

:edit: are you wanting to streetfighter it up at all? you should throw some flatty motoX bars on if you are! PM me and I'll tell you where to get some cheap as chips slip ons which sound insane! I get heaps of comments on the way my Z sounds coz of these pipes...
