    08 Daytona 675

So this is another Daytona thread. I got the bike mid september and already had a list of things i wanted to do to it.

Anyways this was it stock still with dealership stickers so that was the first to come off.

I then ordered one low beam HID from DDM tuning from the US. They wanted i think it was something like $50 to deliver the $30 HID, so i got a guy from the US from the triumph forums to send it over for me which came to only $13 for postage. I also got 2 white LEDs for my parker lights from superbrightleds.com also from the US and sent with my HIDs.
    The HIDs were 55W H7 6000K.

These pics are of the stock low, high beam and parkers.

Difference of white led and stock parker bulb.

HID fitted. I also bought a delay from a guy over east which allows the low beam HID to stay off for about 10 secs after you switch on the bike so the HID doesn't cut out when you start the bike and lower the life of the HID.

I also bought a full crash protection kit from GBracing.

Just a pic of the pipe.

    Next up:
    Awaiting Gold ASV levers
    Awaiting LED Flush indicators
    Rizoma grips and barends
    Gilles Rearsets
    Double bubble Windscreen
    Low Gel Seats
    Techspec grips
    Possibly powdercoat kickstand
    Possibly Led indicator mirrors
    Seat Cowl

looks fucking awesome cant wait for my daytona in the new year!
Our Father, Who art at Phillip Island, Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done
In the backroads as it is on the freeway
Give us this day our high-octane premium fuel
    And forgive us our lanesplitting
As we forgive the four wheel drives, the volvos and the taxis
And lead us not into gravel corners
But deliver us from hand-held radars
For thine is thy leather, thy denim, thy Gore-Tex and thy Kevlar

    Flush Mounts

So flush mount indicators arrived a couple days ago and got them fitted.

They are brighter than the stock indicators but over a slightly smaller area. To me anyways.

Nice work Gabe, some good additions, some of which I wanna do to mine. Starting to look like your own, good innit? Do the new bulbs improve night visibility markedly? Never been happy with my standard lights, they're shit.

PS... Frame finishers are readily available off the display wall at JCS on Gt Eastern Hwy, who seem pretty good for stock of genuine parts.

Yea Hids were well worth it. I'm always afraid i'm waking up my neighbours across the road from my exhaust and hids when i go out at night. (not because of light cutoff the cut off is perfect. my driveway is just inclined.)

Awesome flush indicators. When they were off, at a glance I thought they were just another set of bolts! Any plans on powdercoating or spraying the wheels gold?

Cool, good advice Gabe. Hey go see the latest model black Daytonas in JCS and Chapmans now. Before ordering mine i REALLY wanted gold rims but I could only get them if I chose a blue model at the time. Then I walk in the other week, and bang, I see a bike exactly as I wanted it. I was gutted at first but the more I looked at it with gold rims, the more I thought it looked just as you said....too much... and maybe even old fashioned. So before, when I had doubts about those grey wheels, I'm now totally happy with 'em, and would only ever consider changing them if I was feeling suddenly cashed-up enough to afford a pair of BST carbon fibres..... sex.

Nice build, where'd you get the gilles rearsets from? Curious if you found a cheaper place than what i've found them for..
