    2002 - VFR800 streetfighter

So i recently came across this 2002 VFR800 with 13,000k's on it.

Damage of clutch cover, tank, front fender and obvious fairing damage.

Didn't get it for a steal but reasonable enough price.

Will be taking it relatively easy pace and see how it goes.

If anyone knows where to get low (flatter) clip-on's please let me know.

    Cool

I went with woodcraft 3 piece thingos, and flipped them upside down. So they're about the same height as the stock raised bars but, y'know, flatter.
I'm sure there would be a few different makes that would do what you want, if you had a look around.

Also check out Hyofighter's build thread in this section of the forum, he built up a VFR as well, put a lot of throught and time into that...there could be some learnings there.
Yamaha MT-01: R1 front end, 1670cc V-twin, Staintune pipes, Power Commander, BMC filter, braided lines, Repsol orange rim stripes.

Get a second opinion, or maybe just some real news.

If it's a VTech then the CBR1100XX bars will fit, I put VTech bars on my BB years ago and it lifted them ~3/4" and moved them back ~the same amount and made the BB much more comfy for me

So got her fired up today and flushed out the engine a few times , but the bike suddenly died just before her test "voyage" and would start up again. Noticed the fuel pump wasn't priming, but then randomly primed several minutes later. after much fussing around figured there must be a wire somewhere that is shorting out the fuel pump as i managed to get her started and every time i do a u-turn she ends up dead but can start up immediately after.

On another note , is there a special trick to bleeding the breaks with this "dual brake" system ??

Quite surprised at how thin the dash cluster is.

So after a bit of dicking about , turns out my knowledge of the bike was too remedial, the cutting off issue was due to the bank angle sensor just dangling there.
With the fuel issue sorted out meant i could go for a bit more of a ride. Which then made it apparent one of my front discs is bent.... not cool

Yeah, I was about to say that Good luck with the project. Just make sure you get an OEM front nose cone; the ebay specials just do not fit.

Been lazy as fuck during the holiday period, but slowly getting there.
Next step would be to get the pro taper bars on and sort out the wiring position.

But fairings are all done and cut and painted.
