Righto, the carbies are painted and looking pretty but before I put them on the bike I reckon I should change the jetting to suit the pod filters. Being new to the whole carbies voodoo I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?
I don't really need it to be perfect as I'm planning to take it to someone in the know to fine tune it but I want to make sure I can start the bastard to ensure it runs.
Fast, cheap & reliable ... pick any two.

Im no expert either but for starters you may need to go down one size in your pilot/idle jet, you will have increased air flow with the new filters and this will suck more fuel in. I would start by turning you idle air screw in or out by about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn if you have trouble starting (the screw controls air flow or fuel flow to the idle jet so lean or ritchen it as required) the idle jet controls fuel metering for about the first 1/8th of throtle movement. From there it's part idle and part main via a crossover (can't think of the exact name now) tube until about 1/4 throtle. 1/4 to 1/2 is mainly controled by the needle jet size and the jet needle position, 1/2 to 3/4 is mainly the taper on the jet needle and 3/4 to full throtle is the main jet size. Hope this gives you some help.

i helped a mate tune his SR with a pod added to it recently. we didn't end up needing to do much with the pilot jet as at idle the filter doesn't really make much difference. the main jet went up fairly substantially though. i think we went from about a 160 to 180 main jet testing a couple in between. i'd suggest confirming the model of carbs that you are running and finding the tuning guide on the net somewhere. they all seem to have slightly different ways of working/tuning

    ......and, got any pics?

Hi XooM, love your work!! It looks great!! I just bought one of these bad boys..... I cant beleive that they arent more popular!! Anyway was just wondering if you were able to find anywhere to source engine parts and if any of the GPz engine parts would carry over?? Main thing I was looking for is a top end seal kit and a rear brake master cyliner kit. I've tried both Zpower and Z1 enterprises mentioned earlier in this thread but they dont seem to have much for them and not a lot on ebay either??

One more question if you dont mind......re you new clip on bars what brand did you use? and did they fit without too much modification to the levers cables etc One of my standard bars has been snapped an re welded by a pigeon so i figured it would be easier just to go with some new clip on bars
