CBR600rr 07 Red n Black Theme.
Thought i'd start a storyboard of my CBR600rr
So first magical day of getting the new toy, all original.
First and easiest thing, tank pad and fuel cap sticker.
First thing that was a must.
Frame sliders, which would prove their worth much later on.
Fork & swing arm sliders.
More bling stuff.
Double Bubble screen
levers
Rim tape
Installation of levers and frame sliders and rim tape.
All the above bits added along with seat cowl

Next thing was HID's
Comparison between original and HID for those who want to know.
Radiator Guard was also on the list.
Also Had to get rid of the ugly fender.
Much better
End of that stage.

Stage 3
Theme was Red n Black.
So time to get it happening.
Subframe, rear sets, pegs all sent off for powder coating.
They come back...bleck.
Then putting it all back together again.
Mid Fairings were also given to the powers that be and done black.
End of assembly.

I remember you mentioning a while ago that you were planning on getting a bunch of stuff powder coated black, but didn't realise you had got stuck in so quickly.
It looked really clean mate, nice one.
It's a shame what happened the other night, but the fact you've just gone "Meh, whatever, it happens." is great. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with her

The bike looks really good with all silver bits in black.... Same about a crash though, at least you are OK which is important the bike will get fixed.
Where did you get the powder coating done and how much if you don't mind me asking??? I'm thinking of doing my rear sets and passenger foot pegs.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Should hopefully have some stuff next week.
I will get the bike out on the track, probably 2nd half of the year.
vbroom, the powder coating is cheap.
I'm not in the business so i can't say for sure, but if u just want rearsets done i'd guess well under $100.
Edit: Try Martin at Diamond powder coaters in welshpool, he's very helpful.

That bike looks sooo much better in the pic under 'end of assembly' than it did in the first pic, I'm totally impressed, well done

Some of those nine spoke Braking wheels (black) and wavy disks would look trick. http://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/Braking_Wheels.html
Are you going to paint those exhaust headers black or maybe polish them?
Too bad about you putting some silver back into those black bits by rubbing them on the road!!

Bike looks absolutely awesome
You've actually saved me some money, because I was very keen on getting the new 600RR and would have HAD to follow along your mod path (because it looks fantastic), thus costing me $$$ on top of the bike purchase

sam, with your HID's, you have two different sized bulbs yah? like 1 low 1 high sorta deal?
it looks like you only have 1 ballast there.. did you have a kit that does 2 globes from 1 ballast? if so, i wish to subscribe to your newsletter. can you please let me know where you acquired it from? got something i want to put hids in, but i don't want to put 4 ballasts in the car (2 for each low, 2 for each high)
