I know what you mean about clear coated metal, it looks fucken rad, unfortunately this build is for the missus and she wants the next best thing..all black.. Im building an aluminium tank for my gixxer build and tempted to polish that and clear coat it so ill post it when i get it done..

I would be tempted to vinyl cut a stencil, spray black, lift stencil, clear coat. Show off your work a bit.

    WT and indeed F.
This oooooooold project is finally slowly going back together, of course mid polishing i got bored and thought drawing all over the side cases with a dremel was a good idea.. thats now debatable but once you start you cant turn back so onwards it is..

This is suprisingly quite addictive, a little like tattooing, once you start you just want to keep going..

I like the etching looks mint, be a bugger to keep the dirt out of the bare scratched Ali unless your going to clear coat/lacquer over it somehow. Although the look could possibly be enhanced by rubbing some sort of black into the etching as a feature.
I'm only a logical thinker so don't let my rantings detract from the mans brilliant artwork, I couldn't even etch my name neatly with a dremmel!
