fix up old gs 550

Hey guys just picked up an 78 gs550 everything there but the exhaust cans was wondering if anyone had a old set to sell us trying to get it run properly before I put to much money into it cheers rich

I had a GS550 back in about 1980, it had a 4-1 and could be heard a couple of kilometres away, it had bigger carbs and needed constant tuning but went like a shower of shit for a 550. I sold it to buy an XL500 which was probably the exact opposite. Anyway, I may have some recollections that could help with your rebuild. I used to have a spare engine with the magneto smashed off, I can't remember what I did with it but its not in the current shed.
