Frame up RZ build

So this one has been waiting for my attention for a looooong time.

I sent the frame and bits off about a year ago to get coated and they have been sitting at my house while I slowly collected bits. After seeing how nice the parts came back, there was no way I was going to put old dirty bits back on her.

This one will be pretty stock, haven't decided if she will be a 250 or 350 yet, probably both at one time or another.

Every seal, bush, bearing, bolt (with the exception of irreplaceable items) is being replaced on this build.


I had Gav make me up some new bushes for the linkages, I wanted something better than the delrin ones, also new split bushes in the front.





New Hagon shock sourced from Dave Quinn Motorcycles, I couldn't bear to put the old shitty one back in.

The way the dogbones attach to the swingarm is average, its just a big washer and a locknut.

you can see the dogbone shaft extends past the face of the swingarm, im going to see if I can get some custom nuts made to tidy this up.

Little bit of progress.. somehow I bought the wrong seals.. need to get more.. Also, I seem to have misplaced or totally forgotten to get a sprocket carrier coated.. god knows how I missed that.. never mind.. I will have a another batch of stuff to do shortly.

Progress? Nath do you know if they pressed those bronze bearings in & then finished the id or just machined them up & pressed in?
Did you look at 2 pac or is powder coating the in thing these days?
