Overtime put a dent in my night, didnt touch the bike, I did manage to spend more money (im getting disturbingly good at that :s). Ordered new fork springs, fork seals, fork bushes, and new sprockets. Hopefully other then the Beringer stuff its the last outlay.

Going to follow this guide to get shit done.

Fark, i forgot a fork seal driver. :<

I'd stick it under the sink and drag it out the next time you need to do a tap washer or similar shifters are the tool of extreme last resort. They are very good at round fasteners of all sizes.

    No you.

Cam cover. Notice the dirt in the bolt recess.

    Scoreless cams.

Timing is still good, and chain looks in good nick (how do you tell if your chain is stretched?).

    That dirt i mentioned before.

Clearances done (all within spec), no visual damage from tensioner failure, so back together, oh spark plug looks good too.

Gunna start putting her back together so i can test it. Fork bits should be here in ~2 weeks and i just ordered and paid for the new pads, res cap with diaphragm, and caliper rebuild kit.

Sounds like much less stress than first thought!!
    Tensioner stretch?
I think only way is to take it off and check compressed and stretched length?

If not sure may as well change anyway, shouldn't be too exxy $50ish?? If memory serves from my old GSXR750.

Thats a bit of a pain as i dont have spare gaskets, and because its a big bore they wont be local.

Decided to start assembling it even though all the parts haven't arrived. Steering head bearings back together, triples on and done up. Forks in for mock up, hopefully with the forks raised i wont pop shitty wheelies off the starting line.

The tyre is there because with the forks in the front end is too heavy and it wanted to topple over lulz.

I've ordered china radiators as alot of people seem to like them and mine are in need of replacing. $110 delivered for the pair of oversized rads is pretty good if you ask me.

When i get the carby tubing i can continue reassembling the bike.

PS. inb4 pete telling my to just straighten the rad fins

It's always more fun putting it back together again... unless you're me and it's for the 20th time. Order the gaskets so you can replace the chain for peace of mind - if the existing gaskets can't be reused?

Im going to be a bit lazy and just see how it goes. I always think "while im in here..." so knowing me a cam chain would turn into a top end rebuild.
