Well here's my new baby, which i've finally got pics of.
Hopefully this will become an evolution thread as i pour in love and money over the coming months.
For now, here she is, as purchased:
Pros - Braided front brake lines, new rubber, and a sexy single-sided swingarm
Cons - small fairing crack on LHS, some fasteners missing, some plastic degradation, and there's a lower cowl missing from between the 2 front fairings. Also the RH fork seal is shot.
Plans - Some airbrushing artwork, frame sliders, techspec grip pads, full-system exhaust, possibly a suspension rebuild and dynotune by Russell... maybe rearsets later on.
Should be fun!

Fair enough...
When did I ever say i thought it was pretty?
once it's got an RC211V kit on it (one day, fingers crossed) then i'll think it's pretty...

Um nope, just posting photos of his first big bike. Yes, its black and quite bland for now. It's still his pride and joy.

As you would have read, Mockery will be changing the look of it... ie: airbrushing artwork. Whether you like the look of it then, will be a question of taste. So you'll have to wait and see.
Oh, and I'm sure BlackICE can use a computer and speak for himself.

I actually think it is quite a nice little "big bike" sort of a combination of CBR900RR front and VFR750 rear, yes the black paint is a a little bland but some paint and decals would do wonders This is the sort of bike that might be ok for the guy in this thread New Rider & Big Bike

imho
swap out that greasy mess for a new gold chain + sprockets, single sided swingarm doesnt look good when its marred by black grease and cheapo sprocket and chain. Put new chain manufacturer sticker on belly pan.
rebuild leaky forks at dynotime ASAP. Put his sticker on belly pan.
PSB sticker on RHS top of screen.
oggys
dont get a full system for a 400cc hehe if you want more power get a bigger bike! save your money and get a major overhaul on that thing, im guessing its a grey import without a service history? timing chains, hoses, coolent, brake pads + fluid, plugs, oil, air and fuel filters ect ect.
slip-on or gut the quiet system. loud pipes save lives.
nice 1st big bike
edit: and lose the chain guard when you get a decent chain and sprocket set! and take a rag and Preen Heavy Duty unstainer and clean up that mess under the rear sprocket!

I hear ya gozer
was just thinking last night about what i need to do/get done for an overhaul...
Timing chains you say? This baby's cams are gear-driven!
Had Derek Ball give it a major going-over last week, he said the chain & sprockets are rooted, so new ones will be on the way... but not until i get my license, get some insurance and ride to see if i like the sprocket size as it is. Apparently these things have quite a tall 1st gear, which may be a pain.
Will be getting Oggys' asap.
...and thanx for sticking up for me guys, my little heart was a bit broken for a while there!

I was gonna say that you don't slag off the terrible girlfriend your mate (who's been in a massive dry spell) picked up. You said it better.
You're bike is faster than mine and as that "just where IS she from" Pussycat Doll annoying stuck in my head said "it is a nice colour".
Is BlackIce the bloke with the Adidas shoes?

Nothing man, I got a pair. Just keep seeing a bloke riding along in Adidas shoes and thinking, hey, expensive shoes, very swish.
