Modded 2010 Triumph Daytona 675 (for Karen)

Okay, so here's my ride. I will first attach pics of how it looks right now, but there are still some mods to be done. I'll add them to the thread as they're done. Over time I may add some 'before' shots if I have time. This goes out to Karen, who seems to quite like what's been done to it.

It won't show personal effort like some of the amazing examples of personal toil and bling of some bikes I've seen on here, but I still think she's kinda pretty and she has taken a bit of thought.

Needs a good clean, polish and a better photographer. One of my mates will help me there, so watch this space. Enjoy.

Some side-on pics in all her glory....

No worries Jones, adding pics slowly now. Now that I've worked out how to do it. Got 24 images to add, so bear with me

    Her back-end

The new fender makes a difference Thanks Steve at Rated R!

I forgot to mention that this fender is RatedR's first manufactured fender for the 675, so I feel quite privileged to have got hold of it. Thanks also to that crazy sidecar racer Juston for mentioning to me that it even existed

    Triumphs carbon fibre heel-guards

I hated the standard aluminium things. Had to get rid of the fuckers! One day I'll get the black Arrow rearsets to finish off the stealthy look to the back-end. But I'm not feeling too rich at the moment.

Sliders never did look the best....

But then I figure despite the fact that sliders are butt-ugly, it's a lot better to have them if she ever suffers a drop. And they didn't appear to look as bad as I expected them to.

    Frame finishers...

When you remove the pillion pegs, you get left with 2 holes and a rather nasty bare metal ring around them. Most people won't notice but I did. And it just wasn't on. So back to the dealer I went, to blow more cash on a pretty small cosmetic detail. But at least I'm happier with it now.

    Carbon fibre tank pad

This bugger can be an asswipe to fit as it's pre-curved. About 6 adhesive stickers hold it on, and I didn't quite apply it perfectly centred but sssshhh!!!! I'm too afraid to take it off now! Can be a bitch when wearing an mp3 player or even a backpack as the top edges don't quite sit flush and both have been caught on it. Once I got a bit stuck when straightening up under brakes and noticed I couldn't sit up - the front cord that goes across my sixpack *COUGH* had jammed underneath it so took a bit of wriggling to come unstuck

LOL @mexican1, thanks a lot man! But maybe now I should apologise for making your wife lust after something else

I do have a soft-spot for Triumph's naked models too, esp. the Speed Trips matt black scheme (upgrade?!) Looks bloody MINT! There's a Speed Trip that comes in red and has a wide white stripe running down the centre top of the bike with a black pinstripe outline. It may be a limited edition but it looks the bomb. They have one at Chapmans in Perth, looks amazing.

I say for Karen 'cos she saw mine in a car park a few weeks back and mentioned it. Karen... ride it? Man, she'd be lucky... I've not even met her yet! So far only the staff at the dealership have ridden this fucker, and 2 mates of mine with plenty of ability have yet to ride it. They will... in time

    Thanks PSB!!!!

I'm sure I'll be adding plenty more to this thread over time, but for now, thanks everyone for looking and reading. Thanks also to the fabulous people who've helped me to get my much-loved ride this far, namely Kim and Juston at Lloyd Chapman Motorcycles in Perth, and to Dave at WarpSpeed (who is still doing some stuff for me) and Steve at Rated R. And last but not least, a special thanks to Perth Street Bikes for furnishing me with a facility to show off my bike to other riders and for making me appear to be a right up-himself fat-head!

    Cheers!!!
