My ' ZXR 750 ' Project..
Ok, after picking up this '89 ZXR 750 - I've decided to do a bit of a 'street fighter' on her.. and get it all looking nice in the process...
http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...-3000-a-43408/
Before:
After...
Scrubbed the wheels, regreased the chain.. scrubbed some more... scrubbed some more.. took off the front cowl..
Replaced the battery...
Just replaced the brake fluid too, was dark brown and funky looking.. like a cup of black milky tea.. pulls up much
harder too now !

rudleo, nice.. but it might be a bit hard to make an 89 kwakka look like a suzuki
Any links to where i can get custom panels like that ?
I contacted the guy that did the bike on bikepics in the UK, to see if he has a contact for his body panel work.. waiting on a reply, but i'd be happy with a nice new bar.. and polish it all up shiney bling.. then do the cluster with a new one.. and small lights.. then, respray !

sure you could make it look like that, just get an r6 tail and newer tank.. a lot of time in the shed and voila!
wouldnt know where to get the custom panels from mate,
best bet would be to join Streetfighters - ASF or customerfighters.com if you're not already a member and ask on there. im sure the guys on there would be able to sort u out

just joined ASF.. looks like an awesome site for all my fight'a needs..
Can't wait to see what will become of this sleeping tiger...
I need a bracket made so i can mount my indicators ( till i figure something better out ) just some mild steel - about 6-8cm long.. 4cm wide.. bent at 90 angle on each end with a hole for the bolt..
Anyone able to help me out ? shouldn't take more than a few mins to make up... for beers ?

If it's anything like the 250 version or the 91 750 version (which I think it is, I have owned both of them but not the 89 model) then you need to whip the riders seat off (take the pillion seat off and then pull back on the release bar/handle and the riders seat will come off) and then take off the rear bolts holding the tank down at the back.

Nar leave the fuel in, nothing wrong with a bit of fire in the belly.
