Thought about a better front end too? R1 or 6 USD forks & radial mount brakes?
Then fly past that same suzuki.

2 wheels has a rz350 motor and race chambers for $1k as you know
i notice someone posted a RZ350/fzr conversion forsale from netrider who is a new forum member.. he should have some info for the conversion.
imho retain all fzr suspension components, just refresh them. the fzr250 was a sweet handling bike. focus on getting the motor in, which should be fairly easy since it would take up less space than the inline 4.
i still think you should pull the motor to bits, remember i have that small cylinder engine honing tool i got from supercheap for $15.. you can borrow it.. put in a fresh hone and rings!
after doing the RZ to RGV conversion i have lost all enthusiasm for swapping out suspension components. its so much cheaper and easier to make original components better.

Similar to what he said... stiffer springs, skim head/raise compression...
Make it rev harder, give it more compression... see if you can crack 50hp
Tweak the fuck out of it until it blows up.
Then put an RZ motor in it.

rebuild the whole thing, going through and making some upgrades wherever you can: rebuild/revalve the forks and shocks, get those one piece Yammie brakes from the R1, rebuild the engine and raise the compression and give it a nice port job, carbies off the 400 etc etc. Keep the standard muffler so it's quiet and then give big bikes a fright around the bends!!
