I was taking it back to the engineer to get the tail light and side reflectors signed off on the inspection list. The lens was removed from the tail light to make it fit on the trailer. There was about 5mm gap with this off, so nothing that will be staying permanently on the bike was getting messed up. Plus the trailer was designed for a kanga with a bar support for the trencher attachment near the front. I was too fat and lazy to bother removing the bar, but if I did the trailer would be plenty long enough.

The paperwork has now been sent off to the Technical Section and I am waiting to hear back about taking it over the pits. Hopefully it will be on the road for the Avon Valley Festival in York at the end of November and/or Rockers Rumble at the beginning of December.

Hi Sprung, hope all goes well with the pit inspection, when you get approval to do it that is!!.
All that hard work will be worth it man, you have a very personal & unique ride, there should be more of it.

Work has been getting their money's worth out of me for the past 3 months, so when I finally got home last Friday I found out I had the papers inviting me to take the bike over the pits waiting. So I am booked in for tomorrow afternoon.

I was rushing to get the bike registered and then take off all the dorky bits required for registration to take it to York on the weekend. But work rang late yesterday arvo and I am away again on Friday for another 4 weeks or so.

Pity York's out for me, as the organisor expects an awsesome turn out and there are several show and shine categories for the bike. I think Andy from Palace Cycles is interested in taking to the Rockers show by himself on the 5th of December. If I'm not barred for daring to mention the York show then I'll post if the bike will be at the Rockers show.

Is the York show this weekend? Unfortunately I can't make that one as I'll be at the AAP open day, but I'll definitely be at Rockers. Hopefully I'll see your bike there and get a good look at it.

It's now road legal and registered. What a nice bunch at the Midland inspection place. Helpfull, chatty and made some usefull suggestions for further improvements. I've a beer in hand to celebrate and I'm now off to the shed to start pulling the daggy bits off.

Shame it's going back in the shed until I get back home in four or so weeks. It may be out of the shed for the Rockers show, I'll post if it is.

Congratulations that's fantastic news!!!! Well done to you and Andy, showing that a full ground up custom when done properly can be legally licensed in WA as an ICV, that's a big achievement!!I can't wait to see it.Now get out there and enjoy riding the wheels off it Next time we organise to get the Chopper boys together for a ride I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks mate, I hope I'm home for the next ride. Only 15 days off in the last 3 months, but it does pay for toys like this bike. Just makes it difficult to enjoy them.

Thanks mate. It was built to be a rider, so hopefully, fingers crossed, it won't be seeing a trailer very much again.

Where has the last year gone? It only seems like yesterday that I got this on the road. So finally here are some pics of it in post inspection road trim.

Not many miles done though. The bike turned out super low, so low in fact that the retaining screws for holding on the side-stand ground off doing left hand bends. It had less than 70mm clearance from the road. So after picking up the side stand from the side of the road I tried to source some 2" over-length forks to help raise it up. I tried to get some from a local supplier but after 3 months of trying to source some he gave up. I then found some on egay, but it turned out that he sold all 3 that were advertised for sale, just an hour before I put in my order, yeah right.

2" I-beam springer forks seem to be the rarest thing in the universe atm, so after 6 months of searching I have decided to go for some 4" over. They arrive next week, I hope. Then it is a matter of working out what the rear springs need to make it all level and get back on the road for summer.

Not my pics. The dude that turned up supposedly for a photoshoot for Ozbike took them. But seeing as he got free beer (not much thankfully), pics haven't been used as far as I know, and he tried to SELL me some posters made from them, I figure I don't owe him and have no conscience about not being bothered to look up his details to give credit.

Saw your bike today, both at Kingsway and at Yanchep, but didn't see a busted leg bloke hanging around to go and introduce myself to. The bike looks good and that clutch rattle certainly trumps my Ducati dry clutch.
