    Pimp my '11 CBR1000RR

Ok, maybe not entirely my bike, but I have been tasked with blinging up our (the Honda shop's) 2011 Honda cbr1000rr. She's all black, silver sub frame, silver frame, silver swingarm.

Already got a pretty good idea of what I want on it, but just thought I'd gauge interest, see what own would do to a brand spankers blade given the chance.

So, my list so far (yes I have a budget, no I don't know what it is)

FMF carbon fibre slip on muffler
    Black pillion seat cover
    Remove rear pillion pegs
    Honda tinted screen
Black asv leavers with red adjusters
    Red braided lines
    Red rim stripes
    Gb racing engine covers
No fender eliminator, but we can slim the standard one down with 2 bolts and looks a treat
Pro Fibre carbon fibre frame guards
Hrc carbon look tank and fuel cap protectors

Any other obvious things you'd add?
What about things in my list that just make your stomach churn...

When you take the rear pegs off, put a set of Sato Street Hooks back on. Allows you to easily put the pegs back on if you want while also giving you a tie down point should you need one. And believe me, you only want to take the back end apart once!

Also go a PCV & take it to Russell.

Only other thing I'd add is a set of crash nobs....oh, & a gear indicator.

Edited for clarifcation. This is the shops bike...

That means pcv is a no go

Will certainly look at those sato street hooks, I know these bikes are stupidly hard to remove/add pillion pegs.

Never even thought of a gear indicator

I've done exactly this and it looks hot but I went the double bubble screen and different brand exhaust, levers and rearsets.

If it's black, it must be ABS, just be aware that the brake lines run up the inside of the frame making fitting frame sliders a little harder.
I used to have a nice sig offering to shadow ppl. Now I have no sig...

    Non abs... 2011 colour scheme.

Beleive me I want rear sets, but not sure how marketable that is, really changes the ride. I like the rise in peg height, I know many that dont though...

Not as light/exxy as carbon units but just as sexy

Nope, you need one main colour (black) and one highlight colour such as gold or silver. You already have Black and silver, so you could look at clear anodised (silver) parts.
Anything else just looks tacky IMO. Coloured anodising is the worst thing you can put on your bike.
If you are going to be building a bike, you want it to look sleek, not as if it was raped by a faberge egg.

EDIT: The top ones will look HEAPs sleeker than the red ones.

The idea is to get it to look sharp and have it all blend and be understated, not stick as many different coloured parts on as you can.

As far as I'm aware, yes. It still covers the 45, and is as wide as the contact patch. No shorter, just slimer.

Hmm, something to think about Desmo...
You said all black, and one highlight "silver or gold", I dont see how red is that different. It's not as many coloured parts as I can, it's adjusters within the leavers, lines and rim tape. Very minimal...

Looking at cf huggers front and rear. Just comes down to cost. They are already black, so minimal gain (comparative to blacking a silver part for instance) but carbon is sexual.

Where did ya buy from? Is it deffinatley a 2011 model? The shop should have known that black non abs was available, it's one of only 3 colours, and one of them is repsol.

So ... you are building this to resell ? or is it a shop display bike ?

Whats the budget ? are you allowed to paint/coat items ?
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.
