Pure speed in sixth gear on a 5,000 foot straightaway is one thing, but pure speed in third gear on a gravel-strewn, downhill, ess turn is quite another.

A motorcycle is a joy machine. It's a machine of wonders, a metal bird, a motorized prosthetic. It's light and dark and shiny and dirty and warm and cold lapping over each other; it's a conduit of grace, it's a catalyst for bonding the gritty and the holy.
I think you need to put in a clause that you'll only donate the front end if the plastics are kept pink.

shush Dion!
Kev: that is definitely required, I shall be in touch.

Of course the plastics will stay pink. I've also had it arranged that Frangipanis will be airbrushed onto the tank.
Now. The burning question:
Will said contraption have an afterburner?
This guy does.

This afternoon I spent an hour with Munkers, giggling like school kids over the stuff we are going to do.
I now have a little turbine engine.Should produce an additional theoretical 12-15hp over the 6-7 I already have.
It will make lots of noise, it will shoot flames, it's so many kinds of awesome.

Of course you can cook bacon... just need to be careful, that jet exhaust is 600+ degrees at 600+ km/h

We can cook it quickly then..
Can we have some pics of the mini turbine? (aviation tech giggling with anticipation here)

Maybe consider putting a bellmouth inlet duct on the jet. Its the most efficient duct type for slow moving jets (at static, the duct losses are so slight they can be considered zero).

Dear god, it's some weird bastardized three wheeled two person go-kart.

idle speed 33,000 rpm
max speed 126,000 rpm
rated thrust 13.1 kg @ 126,000 RPM
It's small, about the size of a small milo tin. Maybe 40cm long.
Really can't wait to hear it fired up![]()
