    I may be wrong though
No quiet right also allows a much larger surface area for the disk which helps cooling/disappaition of heat although on the down side said heat has a lot shorter path to transfer into the tyre. Simply put - Brakes rely on friction and pressure from a piston/brake cylinder/whatever we wanna call em now.

A lever is like a see-saw, but i dont see where the lever is applying the pressure to the rotor?

dont worry Wolfy. I wowed them with my vast knowledge of physics on the previous page. Truth be told, I was kind trolling; posting the mention of the functionality of perimetre mounted rotors.

    hehehheheh

    Really?

As far as I understand, Further away from the axle/fulcrum means less effort for the same result. So I guess if you are right and smaller discs are just as effective as larger you can just shove some 250 discs on a moto gp bike. Mehehe.

Oh yeah that website I got my info from was a kids physics site.

They look tidy on that cbx, and when used on other customs they just look different, nice feature I reckonn

just used this as an example of distance from fulcrum/pivot makes it easier/harder to achieve the same result. Small disc versus big disc. I did not intend to confuse you.

    Apologies shortfuse.

You guys wanna keep your debate about levers, fulcrums and physics out of here? Much appreciated. Thanks.

Less yap yapping about brakes (that tards could find on google, and no one has explained fully) and more CBX awesomeness Personally, I can't wait to see you pull the engine to bits, never seen the innards of one.

For extreme, how about the "Pregnant Duck", supercharger, custom frame, marzocchi forks, 6 in to 6 exhaust...

And a helpful comment, I've seen K&N do dual pod filters (two carbs per filter) for CBX's, if your planning on running pods I highly recommend them, much easier to tune on old carbies than fully individual pods.

I have quite a collection of pics of the pregnant duck. That is what I want to do with my pipes.

That duck is mental, has huge discs on the front! completely useless. 6 into 6 exhausts, he wins just for that. Got any pics from behind. (no pun intended)

dont know why they mount them there, they provide no extra braking power being further away from the axle.

Larger surface area for heat dissipation, meaning they can get away with 1 rotor?

Love the CBXs, can't wait to hear it.
