So...I bought this Honda.

For no other reason than to have something to play with. It's not going to get any special upgrade or rebuild, just a good clean up maybe a paint job and a few mods just for the look. It's nothing special...'84 cm250e. The chain was off when I got it so it needed to be trailered home. It runs ok, I think the headstem baring needs replacing, its licenced till Feb, has some good rubber and no oil leaks.

This is as I bought it.




The seat is fubar and to be honest, what where they thinking putting that huge, ugly thing on there. In the second pic you can just see the 300mm high handlebars, there gone aswell.

Oil change and filter
New chain and both spockets.
New plugs
Carby clean
New brakes and fluid
New handlebars
Clean and degrease
Paint job??????
New (modified) seat.
and maybe a small black headlight cowl.

I'll have it for a few years at least. My wife has always wanted to ride so it will be a good learner for her, My 14 year old will be looking for a ride in a couple of years and my older son has 4 months left on his RE so he can make use of it aswell.

Ok...so I went to motorcycle masters today and bought a set of aftermarket drag bars for $45



I think it gives the bike a much better look.
It lowers the height to give the illusion of a longer stance




I'm thinking along the lines of this for the seat.
