    SR250 Project about to begin....

Well after little research and an impulse I've staterd a SR250 project bike. It's a good runner and if I can I going to try to potter around on it doin bit and bobs while also keeping it on the road. I've not decided what I'll do but I'm inclined not to chop it so if I sell it someone can always go back to the original styles, maybe but just improve on whats there. Seen some nice cafe racers been done, but I wonder if a tear drop tank is more suited to a flat bar, single seater like say a harley sporster, maybe not polish stuff but jet black powdwer coated.....

Anyhow I'll keep you in the loop.

    Hey,

Unfortunately the image upload thing doesn't seem to be working, but I will upload some shots soon. So whats been done. Bogged where the name badges and the dent on the tank was, painted it, filter covers and head light housing matt black. I've pulled the vynil off the seat and chopped it flat, more like the SR500 seats, bought a staple gun and managed to restretch the vynl back on. So new seat = $30 sweet.

I'd really like help from people on the forum about where they got their kickstarter kits from and any issues they encountered. Once I've got the kickstarter, I'm going to remove the battery and put in a capacitor and rip all the airfilter box etc out so its clear right through. Then its time for a mikuni carby.

Also are there any shops in town where I can get a flush mount tail light, small indicators.... and a straight drags type bar? Or does anyone have some bits and bobs they want to sell.

    Righto better do some work...

    David
