    Srv250

    Managed to pick the following up for a price I couldn't say no to. It'll become the Mrs's learner bike once repaired. Based on an initial look it needs the following;
    Mirrors
    levers
    headlight
    forks straightemed / replaced
    front tyre
    general tidying

A few photos of its current state

There's been a bit of progress this week. The forks and triple clamps are off. As is the rear subframe as it's off to get powder coated with a few other bits and bobs.

Been ordering some stuff as well. AL going well it should on the road again in late Oct.

You don't have to do much to that to nail the cafe look

The intent is to leave it standard whilst the Mrs's learns on it.

After that a set of clip ons and a few other bits and pieces.

So the forks and triples have been dropped of to Gav at GD to see if they can be straightened.

some of the framework is off the bike and is off to get powdercoated in the next week.

new indicators have arrived to replace the horrible big ones that are on it. And I made the decision to get a braided line for it as well whilst I was at it (nothing to do with the fact that I wanted some for my bike, honest)!!!

All I really need to do now is work out where to get a headlight from to replace the broken one.

There's been some progress with this over the past few weeks, and all going well should be on the road next weekend. And the fact that the Mrs's has now had a few lessons and wants to go out riding is putting the pressure on!

Gav was able to straighten both forks and the triple clamps as well as supply some new bearings. Thanks Gav you help was greatly appreciated.

SO most things have now been painted or polished and going back onto the bike.

One thing I really should have done is pressure washed it before I pulled bits off of it!

After a fair bit of looking around I managed to track down a headlight I was interested in from Modern Motorcycle Co in Vic. All going well that should arrive next week.

    Some photos next week.

Well most of teh bits arrived this week so over the past few evenings I've been bolting everything back together. All going well this morning after a brake bleed and a battery charge I'll get her home and give her a good wash, and take a few photos.

It seems a sthough the previous owner was not such a large fan of new oil. It only has a 2l capacity and what came out looked pretty nasty, oh and somewhere along the line people had mangled teh alloy sump plug!

The only issue I've had to date is the braided brake line I ordered from HEL has the incorrect fitting at the reservoir side (it's not a banjo but some sort of metric thread).

Fingers crossed it starts easy enough.
