    Yes it is, but it is the 1980 red and white. The blue tank is a spare.

    Sweet. I have a much modified GS1000 myself. I was thinking about doing it up in the blue and white Wes Cooley style.

    Update on the GSX, it was not the carbies it was the cam chain running one tooth out on the front.
    The merchanic said he cant beleive it didnt bend any valves.
    The bike has being test run and will be picking it up tomorrow.
    Hopefully it will be going over the pits soon.

    They need to be a couple of teeth out with stock pistons,cams and deck height to get close...... they are pretty generous with piston-to-valve cleearance on both sides, somewhere in the order of 2.5mm. I just finished a pop-up Kat motor for a customer........ everything is pretty solid in these old girls. If you get the top-end oiling sorted the cams and rockers will last a lot longer too which was always a problem with them. Great bikes....

    Got the bike back today and it is riding 100% better. The cam chain seems to rattle a little under load so will have a look at checking the tension.
    Should be ready for the pits this week
