well, after nearly 18 months I've found a couple more old frames in my girlfriend's parents shed that they want to get rid of - time to build another single speed - hopefully with less indecision on colour than previously!

Once again this build will be on the minimum budget possible so most of the old parts will be reused. Now to just figure out how to best set it up for the next bike pub crawl...

since youve done the speaker thing, i reckon the next thing to do is to rig up a keg on a trailer and have beer on tap, so the pub can crawl with you instead =D

I've got a small wooden wine crate that I was thinking of mounting to the cruiser somehow - but that could possibly be too much effort. Cable tying a stubby holder to the bike is almost always the easier option aha.

In an effort to avoid making decisions on colour for the single speed - I've decided I'm going to get my friend who works at a print shop to print me up a shedload of stickers on the really thin gloss decal paper they have and then do a decoupage over the bike - like so:

Could maybe be interested in a 20" long barcode type sticker to go on my top tube.
It's got some random grime-shit that won't come off that I'd like to cover up.

does anyone know where I can buy a flying pigeon bike from without getting charged some extortionate postage costs?

    Bicicleta+Flying+Pigeon+PA06+IMG_2251.jpg

Alternatively - anywhere I can purchase an old Euro-style roadster (or replica) for cheap?

How about Mojo bikes in Melbourne? Their Duke might fit the bill.

I consider cheap to be cheaper than mojo (who seem to use a few chinese frames themselves)

I can get some replicas for around $400 delivered from the states and a proper flying pigeon for about the same from europe, give or take a bit... was just wondering if their were any Australian importers.

I'm mainly looking at using it as a pub bike, don't want or need blingy parts but don't want to spend the time rebuilding some old frame either.

There's a roadside collection around my place next week, I might have a trawl in the ute & see what I can collect for my own project(s), I'll offer any spares up here.

The correct number of bikes to own = N + 1, where N is the current number of bikes you own.

My mate says a fella is coming today, not sure if thats you? but if it isnt, and the guy falls through then its pretty much yours.

Its definitely meant for the smaller feller, the top tube length and headtube angle means the bars and riding position are quite upright, but a change of stem and bars and im sure could get it sorted for your height.

My mate has a bunch of parts so im sure he has something to suit if you end up getting it and needing a better set up

Hey, I saw a 1950s looking pushy sitting in a skip bin on odin road in innaloo on my way to work, looked pretty intereting and I know a couple guys on here like their pushy rebuilds, might be worth a look, its located between cedric st and scarborough beach road:

Better be quick, bin looked full so probably wont hang about for long

looked something like this... (at a very brief glance) but red/maroon

Does anybody have a old road bike frame that they are willing to sell. It should be approximately 49cm.
I plan on working on it with my girlfriend to make her a single speed bike.

    Thanks!
