Did u use 33 percent glycol when u filled radiator? I made that mistake with rz runs hotter than DI or 6percent glycol

Nah I'm using straight distilled water atm. Used it before when I was racing it, never had an issue. I'm planning to add a corrision inhibitor once I know the system is A1, but for the moment it's likely I'll have a few parts in and out untill then![]()

2008 Suzuki GSXR 600 Turbo 159hp dyno'd at HTP Performance. (Tired of a bunch of bs arse comments so they have been disabled) Too many 12 yo's on this site that know everything.... Enjoy the video!
I think Grahams been too busy reproducing to play with his toys.
I see nobody's posted here for many months so things could have happened since then. Stumbled on this when looking for a plug spanner of all things.
Everything looks great. Only issue I can see is our going to have problems getting the oil drain from the turbo back into the engine sump. The turbo is sitting very low, below the oil level in the sump. You cannot allow the pressure of the oil flowing through the core of the turbo to 'push' the oil back up to a level above the oil level in the sump. If you try to do this it will just push the oil out the turbo seals and you will have a smokey joe worse than an RZ500.
Ideas I've seen that have worked.... pump it is really the only option. You need a small tank below the turbo to gravity feed the oil into. Use a positive displacement pump to pump the oil back up to the sump. I've seen a small 'ticker' style fuel pump do it. Better still is a touring car gearbox oil cooling pump. These are expensive though.
Well all the best. Hope it one day rolls down the road
+1..
Did anything ever happen with this?
Wow, it has been a while, hasn't it? Doesn't time fly...
yes, something did happen with this - 2 small screaming infants and a busy workload...
Last year I spent 3 months of the year away from home, and the rest of the time trying to find a quiet afternoon or weekend without someone wanting something from me... you know how it goes...
This year I'll be spending even more time away, so my priorities have shifted a bit away from fun stuff for the time being. And I lack motivation for it just now. Don't get me wrong, this project WILL get finished, it just might mean I'll have to send parts off for fabrication rather than doing them myself. Which takes a bit of the fun away from it, but there you go
