    TZ350D restoration

Now that I've finished my race and road Lc's, the time has come for the TZ to go on the lift. I'll probably take some pics during the resto so here's the start .
Paint has been done by a good mate and the engine rebuilt before I got it , so will be just a good going over and an uprated rear spring .

Please excuse the mess as I haven't had a spruce up in the workshop after the previous resto.
The intention at the moment is not to race the old girl but run it at a couple of practice days. But that may change. .

The only history of this bike that I know is that it was raced by it's former owner in the early eighties and then stored dry since then.

The engine will only get a cosmetic overhaul but Ill strip the bike to the frame and replace all the bearings and rubbers and give the frame a very good going over for cracks before repainting. The barrels had been sent to the UK for re-chroming so any future ring changes will have to use OEM rings, Nicasil might have been a better choice and this would allow the use of many after-market chrome rings. I was lucky to have been given some spares as well so that'll help.

The plan is to place an order with meadspeed or similar to replace the previously damaged fairing brackets, new seat pad, clutch cover ect to bring it back to original although I'll keep the later model seat.
