Unless your project is to create the next pro street bike record holder, or a 600 track weapon to take on the best of the supersports then the above statement is a pile of utter shit. A project takes exactly 2x as much time and money as you plan for. So set the total bill at half what you can afford, take your time and get into it! Or just go buy a brand new set of joe rocket leathers and the latest dead stock CBR/ZXR/GSXR/YZFR1000 and be like every other souless fool with no imagination.
Stock bikes are a canvas, wrecked ones just have half the job done already
