Yamaha SR250 goin under the knife

After some parts collection and planning, planning and more planning I have started the mod process.

    1. Screw with the stock carb until it went on the floor and a round slide Mikuni on. Runs great. Finalize the exhaust and jets to do.
    2. Cut the rear triangle off and try a new seat and shock mount system using the main top frame tube.
    3. Fab new stainless exhaust to "new to me" Pro Circuit exhaust of a 250 dirt bike.
    4. Battery and electronics box
    5. Rear fender chop and tail light mount
    6. Street fighter headlight looks good ... toss one of those in
    7. Paint swingarm to match tank yellow

    Progress

Things are coming together and also lists are growing. I purchased a 95 YZ125 roller and transferred the rear end so far. Amazingly the YZ125 swingarm just slid in and bolted up. No shaving or shimming required. Now to get the upper shock mount figured. That new mono shock is tall!

Next is to see if I can get the YZ125 front end transferred over and lowered by maybe 3".CIMG0345.jpgCIMG0343.jpgCIMG0346.jpg
