I had a CX125 to fang around on for a couple of hours when they were a current model. Some of the stuff on it was absolutely laughable - the integrated security system was that the ignition switch, petrol tank lid and rear seat compartment used the same key. The plastic detailing was real wonky late-eighties italian stuff and the paint was a bit average but oh what a blast. It was like riding the bike of the future! The all enveloping bodywork, single sided suspension front and rear, the integrated security system....
Oh yeah and I'll go on record saying that if you're comparing some new 600cc supersports bike with an old RGV you're kind of missing the point a bit.
Click here to see my Ducati 999R in the PSB garage... You'll love it!
Don't click here to see my ZX9R aka The Ginger Ninja... there's no link!
cx125 is quite a hot bike, looks dated now, but they wouldve been totally awesome back in the 90s.

^^ Hmmm i prefer the GT40 scheme, but not big on either of the colour selections personally (not a green/light blue fan).
Green
Green green green green
British Racing Green FTW! Go the lotus colours!
I love two strokes. Because they annoy the shit out of people.
jesus you've got retarded MS Paint skills jeff
however both colour schemes are nice, I like your taste
as much as i like the GT40 scheme, very easy on the eyes. I'd suggest you go for the green schemes if you dont want people calling your smokers a Honda![]()
My mate in the know tells me 2 strokes sound like whipper snipper motors? this cant be true, maybe his biased?
HI M8S NOT HERE FOR SEX JUST CHAT AND STUFF!
Yeah, they sound shithouse, don't buy one.

It will be green, Brunswick green to be precise, with primrose yellow. (paint cans were on special at supercrap - $2 each!).
This is going to be the cheapest/dodgiest job ever

A little off topic..
I'm thinking of getting an RGV to replace my CBR250RR but want to know if it's worth it? I'm a true enthusiast and tend to excessively maintain my vehicles, so I'm not bothered about the maintenance side of things. Smell and sound don't bother me either.
Is the power increase that much more compared to the CBR? Things to look out for? I've still got 5 months left until my R's and I don't think I'll be able to afford a big bike just yet, but crave something quicker and hopefully can handle better than my CBR.
Sorry for the hijack.![]()

do it, don't think, just do it.
You'll gain 50% more power (40ish hp to 60). You're already used to peaky power delivery, so it won't be a huge adjustment.

Will probably turn better too, they're a narrow v-twin that weighs 3/5th of fuck all.
My RGV has reverse chicken strips on it at the moment - the edges worn way more than the middle (from desmo's track day shenannigans)![]()
Looks like the way to go then.Plus it'll only be a weekender so I doubt I'll clock too many km's onto it. Now to wait until my bike is sold, then look out for one.
VJ22's seem like the way to go after reading rgv250.co.uk.
I'd love to get an RGV.....
How much are they to rebuild to varying degrees?
ie, full vs, top, vs bottom vs the whole lot and wire loom fixery, etc, etc?
I had a little blat on a friends... Soo much fun... Want more.
I think I'm sick. Symptoms include a desire to go faster than I should and constantly thinking "ning ning ning BRAAAAAAAAP ning ning nining niBRAAAAAAAAAAAAP ning ning ning ning". Also I've come to lust the smell of two stroke (In the morning). Is there any cure for this ning ning virus you all speak of?
