Aprilia RS 125 34mm carb jetting HELP!

Hey guys i own 2004 aprilia rs 125

Just wondering what pilot, main jet size you're using for 34 mm carb?

Im using 165 main 36 pilot and needle is in its leanest.

Tried 40 (what it came with), 41, 41 pilot jet.
Then i got recommended 36 pilot by PJME
Still jerky about 1/4 throttle at 5000-6000 rpm.
    Should i go even lower?

    Cheers..

5,000-6,000 is where the emmissions dip in the factory CDI occurs, causing hesitation due to ignition retarding. You won't be able to tune it out without changing to an aftermarket CDI such as the Zeeltronic.

Comparing jet sizes between bikes will only be useful if you know it has similar mods. Whatcha got?

    I got

    Gianelli's
    34 mm carb
    Vforce reed block
    K&N air filter

I actually have the singe curve CDI at the moment. I read about this before but before I had it all change it rode smoothly even between 5000-6000 rpm.

    Which jetting you're using mate?

I had a similar setup, but with a Pipercross cone filter (no airbox) and Arrow chamber. It used the stock setup from PJME for the needle and pilot, but with a 165 main. But it was way too rich, and I didn't tune it because it was only whilst I was waiting on the Polini kit.

In my very limited jet tuning knowledge, the RPM would be indicative of the needle needing to be adjusted. Best to look to wiser heads for their opinions though!
