Barfridge's Green Peril

Some of you may have seen my new RGV briefly on Friday, before the bastard broke down

I wheeled it out tonight to take a couple of pics. Green is a hard colour to photograph well... here are a couple of ones that sucked the least.

Yeah, still need a couple of bits, proper mounts for the mirrors being one of them.

g0zer: yeah, haven't rubbed it back yet. The paintjob is pretty crap, it needs as much help as it can get

Yeah, he was passed by a pissed off ute driver after barfy purposely stopped him from lane splitting.

Seriously, I really should take the time out to thanks the people who have helped a mechanically reatrded person like myself get a bike (almost) on the road.

- Desmo: for purchasing advice, use of his shed in the early days before Cilla found out , and lots of mechanical help, including tricky jobs like reattaching the kickstart. I started with a race pressed bike, and crates full of random bits. Jim helped sort out what I had and what I needed, and made a great drinking buddy as well.
- Captain Starfish: for having the right tools, and being generous enough for me to be able to borrow them
- Dingo: trailer usage, and for making my life hell when Cilla did find out
- Rocket: more trailering, sorry about the rear wheel strap!
- RGVlee: technical advice
- Lee: for the front stand
- Cilla: for eventually getting over it, and putting up with random bike bits everywhere
- Flyboy: for helping to put it all together, getting out of bed at 2am to fabricate parts , and general all-round awesomeness
- Luciecat: for showing patience that I don't have. I couldn't sit there for hours slowly rubbing sticker residue off a vinyl seat, or sorting out a whole wiring harness. Plus you helped me massively when it all went pear shaped, offering lifts, picking up trailers and just being fantastic
- Laika: for all those little cosmetic parts I needed.

Here are a few more pics:

This is where I started once I pulled off the raceglass...

Has there ever been a sexier man?

I don't know who gave the escaped mental patient a power tool, but he looks happy.

Almost there!

It lives!

GP Exit FTW!

I'm having a moral dilemma if these threads should be the strokers section or members projects...
