    Battery Eliminator ???

I am in the middle of a Yamasuki project bike, 350LC with RGV front and back.
I want to leave the sides open and so need to get rid of the battery or locate it elsewhere, probably under the single seat unit which has limited space.
I have heard that you can fit a small battery, just for running the lights, or fit a battery eliminator which will still work all the lights when the engine is running.

    Questions!

What capacity, volts and amps, does the new smaller battery need to have?
Where do I get one of these eliminators?
Will you still get through rego with the eliminator fitted?

Thanx in advance for any help
