    Post Help the new guy?

    Hello fellow psb'ers!
Ive been a browser of the site for a while and have finally decided to make the jump to full time bike licence and ownership.

Im going to put a deposit on a new Aprilia rs125 from rick gills as they have a new shipment coming in soon, and i heard it may be their last of the two strokes! So ive decided to jump in and finally own my dream bike before they are no more

Anyways, i have a slight problem in the fact that they don't have any floor models. Ive never even sat on one too see if its my size, only drooled as they went past. Is there any chance some friendly fellow with a late model rs125 would be able to catch up for lunch or a beer and let me have a good look and possibly a sit on the machine? Willing to shout lunch or a drink with a fellow 2 stroke fan

Not asking for a ride, just a admiration session. Thanks for your time, hope to see you out on the roads soon

    Trent

    Heya Trent,

I have a new shape RS125 that you're welcome to have a seat on. The bike is very different to the Mito.

Being Italian it's going to be a decision of the heart, both are great looking bikes of different styles. But, and I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, the Cagiva in stock form is pretty heavily restricted and needs the exhaust and carburetor looked at to bring it up to the same speed as the RS125. Personally I think the Aprilia feels more solidly put together than the Cagiva, however the Cagiva has a steering damper and branded forks and calipers.

PM me if you'd like a look in either Perth or SOR.

If you were to decide on a Mito then there's a great looking one in the For Sale section at a big discount off the new price: 2008 Cagiva Mito SP525 125cc

Great Choise. Which colour are you going to get? Yes, they are changing to a 4 Stroke which will be about 14hp and changing the shape to look more like the RSV4. Have a look on you tube, the 4 stoke version only just does 110kph!!!!

Once you have it, we should get together for a ride. Agreed with Loud, its a decision of the heart, these bikes have "soul"

Ild defnitly be keen for a ride when the new beast rocks up! Im hoping to get the glamour white, that scheme give me all sorts of funny feelings! Ive talked to them and there should be some incoming. This bike was defnitly a case of seeing one drive past, then spending a whole night searching for it on the internets before finding it. Definite case of love at first sight i think

That's how I chose my first car. 14 years on I still love it, though it's nowhere near original anymore. Same as the bike I guess!
