    how do you remove a rg fuel tank?

    WTF. How do you remove rg250 fuel tank without removeing all the oil and fuel? Every time i remove my fuel tank i forget to somehow plug the oil line as im holding up the tank oil all over the place.My petcock does not fit threw the frame due to the carbs and the powervalve motor in the way.There has to be a better way to remove this freekin tank without makeing a mess.Very frustrated any suggestions?

    Buy an RZ 350, the Kenny Roberts version, there's heaps of them over your way, Fuel line and 1 Nut and it's off, takes about 30 seconds.

    Triplets, Just joking about the RZ but get one anyway if you already dont own one, After spending a bit of time trawling, try a search or wait until RGV Lee gets on, he should be able to answer your question.
    Good luck.

    RG=/RGV

    You can't realistically take them off separately.

    Disconnect lines and jam a hex head screwdriver tip in there.

    Or disconnect line and drain into container

    We have a bunch of haemostats (surgical clamps ) in the tool box that are great for clamping off fuel and oil lines before pulling lines apart.

    Save spilling petrol and oil everywhere or draining both tanks first. Available on ebay for not much. No other easy way to pull a tank of an RG that I know of.
