Mick Abbey Pipes for the rz350
Hey guys,
For anyone interested, it looks like Mick Abbey is back in the game.
For the uninitiated, the UK guys (and others) consider his pipe designs to be among, if not the best pipes available for the rz.
After some private dramas he retired from pipebuilding and "portgrinding", but it looks like he might be back in the game.
Some interest is being drummed up for them here: Mick Abbey pipes who would want some?
*This has been a public service announcement*

if the R1 wasnt a mangled mess i would already have bought the 350cc motor from 2WW.
if that 350 motor is still there in a month or so's time i probably will still buy it, and whack it straight in hoping to get away with nothing more than rejetting my carbs- if i can get 50bhp into my bike i think it would be perfect- this is stage 2.
with the bike a running stage 2, i will then have the 250cc motor with strong gearbox spare as a base for a stage 3- 400+ big bore rebuild.

All in good time. lol

I've been saying this for a long time now, but since I finish Uni in a matter of weeks, I expect to make some progress next year. My wife's dreams of a house and babies probably won't help things tho... lol

Rode it the other day... feels mint (for a 25yo bike)
Thinking about getting some tyres that were made this century..

i gave up waiting for a pilot power 150x60 section to come in and got T4B to stretch a BT45 140x60 across teh rear rim. Am quite impressed with it, considering its such a cheap tyre, even with a 30ps bike in heavy rain its easy to get heat into it. i think it cost me $160-ish fitted.

i am running a 10mm offset front sprocket and have something in the order of 10mm clearance between a 150x and the chain.
the BT090 looks like a cool tyre overkill for the 250 though, might look at them if and when i find more power
