In need of a tool to remove a main bearing please?

Hi all, I'm trying to remove a main bearing from the case, but having no luck without the right tool - it's unable to be knocked out from behind.

My mate is overseas, we've used his 3 pronged 3 legged Puller to wind out the last one we did. Does anyone have one of these I can come and use tomorrow morning, or another tool which might do the job? The bearing has a 30mm ID and I'm SOR near enough to Melville.

I can pay in Easter eggs....

    Cheers!

Wish I knew how to from my iPhone, my computer isn't working.

    A better description perhaps...

It's a ball bearing with a 30mm inside diameter (the hole) that is flush mounted in the alloy case. The legs of the Puller sit around the outside of the bearing and the prongs would be inserted through the hole to pull the inner race.

...a photo would be so much easier!

There are several ways to do it, a blind bearing puller is one way. The kit that I have Tusk Bearing Remover | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will do a 30mm ID

Looks like it would do the trick. Any chance I could use it? Happy to compensate you for your troubles.

Not my idea but I know a lot of people used that setup on their pre-2003 KTM LC4s to replace a weak ball bearing with needle roller bearing. I've got a few pullers laying around the shed (and one in the lounge chair!) but they are home-made and probably more work to alter than to make the plastic one from scratch.

Have three different types of bearing removers & SOR if you are still in need. PM if you want to try one of these.

Big thanks to Motorvated for getting the bearing out with a press/Puller combo - the slide hammer wouldn't shift it!! Thanks to those that also offered assistance, hoping to get this one running by Tuesday.

or smash out the inner race, then weld a bead inside the outer race and it should just slide right out bit of a bitch though
