nsw heat wave..but my bike has never ran better????

well the last 7 days or so newcastle has seen an average temperature of 39deg...
but my lil tzr 250 seems to love it...it ran soo smooth with power increase all thru rev range..normaly its pretty good but during the hot day it was awsome...!!
    any ideas why??
could it be a bit lean and the humidity richening it up...

My old KR1 + RGV never used to like running to cold.

I would use duct tape to tape section of the radiator up to increase engine op temp.
    Made throttle response way crisper.

Sounds like your bike is getting same treatment with higher Ambient Temps.

    ive found the opposite jules
mine runs real hard at sunrise or when you get that thick icy "cutting" air
but after leaning it out a size it feels like it lost 20kgs, came way more manoeverable but lost that real low down punch
street riding that is. Im going to richen up the needle, but am curious how this will affect the tyga hessitation
on the track at collie with the rs with cool ambient temps I was lucky to keep up to opperating temp (54-55C) by the end of the session of WOT

If your bike likes the temp justin try taping like jules said, whilst keeping the fueling the same. If you get good results try a warmer thermostat. Like they say, most "tuning" is just getting them to run really right!!!!! Good luck

My experience of Newie is that it is always fairly humid. Maybe check here http://reg.bom.gov.au/climate/data/ to see what was going on with the humidity compared to other days. remember to only try one change at a time, as in mixture, then running temp seperately to try and pin it down.

High ambient temps have the effect of enrichening the mixture low ambient temps do the opposite.

Exactly. Air becomes less dense as temp rises, so if you don't change you fueling it wil get richer as temp rises. So if your bike is running better in the heat your jetting for colder temps is lean.

Re running temps 2t drop hp after running temps exceed a certain point, one of the uk rgv guys worked out on his rgv every 10c increase in running temp dropped 2hp.

probably running better due to the lack of weight from all the fluids you're sweating out.
