Unhappy !!!PLeAsE HeLp!!!!!

Ey All

JUsT the Other day i purchased myself my first bike (Saturday to be exact). A second hand hOnda nsr 150 sp with 14500km on the clock. For the first few days everything was going perfect... Loving the powerband and not a complaint in the world. And theN today I started her and up and everything seemed good. Let her warm up and everything but as i started riding i realized that something is wrong... my power band usually kicks in at about 5-6 rpm and gradually pulls me up with the power and revs, but today as soon as i reached 7 waiting for it to kick in, then all it did was shoot the revs up extremely fast without any power what-so-ever.

Would really appreciate it if anybody could help me in anyway with what the problem could be and what the solution could also be.

Thanks Alot and saFe rIding.

if bought from a shop, take it back and see if there's some sort of warranty on it.
Bought privately... curb side warranty... soon as it's off of their curb, it's your problem.
but it'd be clutch

like these guys have said, it sounds like your clutch mate.

could either be the cable (not too bad), or your clutch itself (not good).
try adjusting your cable first and see if it fixes the problem.

if you bought it from a dealer and it costs less than $4K I don't think they have to provide you with a 3 month warranty, but if it's more than $4K they do... Chances are it may be worth less than $4K anyway... but if they knew then yeah they woulda flogged it off cheap without warranty. Have a look on the back of the info sheet that is on every bike (ie cost, number of kms etc) and read the stuff about warranty - it's on there.

Probably the clutch, did you adjust the clutch lever at all? You need to have a little play in it, if it is tight it wil make the cluth slip at high revs, try backing off the screw on the lever 1 or 2 turns.

you are correct, but also the vehicle has to be able to perform it's intended purpose, regardless if it has a warranty on it or not.

I'm going to buck the trend here and say it's his battery position sensor.
