rd350 Chambers - what are these?

    P9030166.jpg

So i have air cooled rd350 that i have been slowly tinkering with. One day it will have ported barrels, standard carbs with pods ace bars and set of chambers vcool mainly restoring it to go on bike runs with my old man so he can try to chase me on his old 500 single

Anyway i did swapped a couple of standard RG chambers i had lying around for these one that fit the RD. to be honest i am not sure if i like them the end can if huge maybe i will sell and get some DGs anyone know who made em, im thinking kart pipes any thoughts on whether there worth keeping and maybe a new set of end cans on

    thanks

I have a unidentified set very similar to those just small differences, but my guess is they would be f2 rz350, the only thing that makes me think they aren't is that they have a hooky thing for a spring to attach to the barrel (very descriptive I know) whilst the f2 chambers have a flange.

Cut the end cans off at the stinger and make slip-on mufflers which is what I am doing with 2 sets chambers for my rg250 (road bike) and 350lc (track bike) as I didn't like either of the mufflers and the silencers on the rg must weigh around 5kg.

I will post up some photos tomorrow if you want.

stay away from Pod filters with the air cooleds, the rd350Y boot with K&N or Uni filer is best.

Im going to use a Yboot and K and N filter on my RD400 with a set of home made chambers, but what is the reasons for not using a POD style fiter?

aparently (so I have read) they affect the "tuned air length" which can make it run lean.

Pod filters were all the rage when our RDs were near new bikes. The ones without pods and standard air boxes seemed to be totally reliable, the ones with Pods were allways having problems from my experience back then. I stayed away from pods and never had any dramas with four RDs which were raced and ridden hard.
