well i registered the rg250 today... you know u have a unpopular bike when there is not even a listing for it at the rta... was regoed as an rg400..lol
also it would seem that the bike had never previously been rego,ed well it was a ex race bike... but i feel good i have resurrected yet another dead 2 stroke from certain scrap metal and must i say im actually very happy with it..
i owned a later pv modle in the mid 90s and it wasnt very memorable ...how ever i find this lil 84 quite good...
i removed air box and mufflers replaced with pods and some end cans and boysen reeds... and its really responsive.. off the throttle is great mid range is a lil flat but not as bad as i was expecting with a good punch up top..a lil bit of jetting to do in the pilot .. but rolled on the front wheel is in the air with stock gearing.. and it sounds sooo good... like a rdlc with good pipes... i stripped all the crap off it plastics and head light sub frame..which were all damaged badly anyway.. weight with a couple of ltrs of fuel was approx 108kgs..!!!! so far very lil money well spent...
