got springs coming for my weight, probly eibach,$200 for the set
finding out how much the damper units are, more than likely run a 15 w fork oil to stiffen the dampening cycle insted of the coplete unit.

traxxion dynamics quoted me 125$ for linear spring set or 675$ for them to rebuild with seals springs and revalving.

they dont sell the valve kits over the counter.

Adreanni do a kit, available from thetuningworks.co.uk which is springs, oil and a new dampner rod with valving. Good reviews. I have .8 racetech springs with compression and dampening valving added. Had dynotime do it.

Gangus' was rebuilt by Russell at Dynotime in Wangara, who replaced the stock valving with Racetech. I had mine done by Russell too. I'm running a 0.8 spring in one forkleg and a stock (0.525) in the other to get the spring rate right for my weight. I can't remember exactly how much it cost - somewhere in the $500-800 range, I think.

My front suspension is heaps better since being rebuilt, but it was in really poor condition before, so I'm not sure how much is due to the valves and how much is due to the fact it needed a service and was too soft for me.

You will have to talk to Russel as he retrofits a unit to the cartridge, not specific to the model.
Pretty sure it was 800. 200 for springs, 200 for each of the valving kits and 200 labour.
The adreanni kit was developed on a shock dyno and they say you would have to do a lot of work/ fiddling to the sp forks to get them this good.
    Much cheaper IMO

Cheers for the info guys, So.... The Adreanni kit is about $400 landed here in Aus, so with new OEM seals and doing the work yourself, i would estimate it about $500 all up, which sounds good for useful forks. Question is: how much different a setup would i expect these forks to be on my RDLC compared to an the original RGV? im thinking the rake/trail etc is different to the bike, but the weight is probably that the RDLC is a little heavier. What do you think?

Hey Jon, another option would be to send the forks to Peter at Promecha. He's done 3 of my previous front ends of various bikes and the difference has been nothing short of phenomenal. He uses his own cartridge emulator valving system similar to that of Race-tech (he used to work with RT stuff before designing his own system).

He did my std RZ forks and they're a far cry from the sorry disaster they were when he first got them. He also did the forks on an old SV650S I had a while back - I had a ohlins shock put on the back at the same time but it was his magic with the front end that impressed me more.

got the springs , all in ,,, stiff as f*#^k, ended up getting 1.0 spring (permantly on viagra) 15w fork oil, has changed the ride charicteistics for the better, nose wheelies without bottoming down a hill, the stock dampers seem to be doing a good job... made a fork spring compresser for the job so if anyone needs it , pm me lend it for a 6pack or tell you how to make your own. so if anybody has some top noch dampers laying around ill take em of your hands and see if it further improves it again, cheers. Matt
