Well I've gone and bought another 2 stroke

Introducing Kristy

1990 KR-1S C1

Average condition... needs a few things sorted... fork rebuild, new front tyre, get temp gauge working, replace the regulator and work out why the powervalves aren't working (or maybe I should just wire the buggers open like everyone seems to).

The rear end is not the original paint, it should have yellow number boards and the black line is meant to finish near the end of the riders seat... from the looks of it it would seem that someone has had their own take on it and done a quick repaint because they didn't like the number boards. The rest of the bike is original though. I couldn't see any evidence of an accident but has had a stationary drop. I'll return it to original paint scheme at some point.

Rides really well even with the saggy suspension, such a contrast to the rgv and the rs. Small, light, nimble and a stock exhaust note that is really something else.

Picked her up for $2000, including getting the owner to put 6 months rego on it. A bargain I reckons.

shed is too clean. Looks good. Trowlesy used to have one in similar if not better condition. Looks like it'll be a fun little bike. I used to laugh everytime we had to fill up around the 150k mark and it'd have to be kick started

It was in the quokka a while ago.

Already got the workshop manual... regulator is easy enough to fix (plug and play) so I'll order that, new battery, new plugs & fluids and a few other bits this week and give it a birthday. Then enjoy

Shed is filthy! shit everywhere whilst I am waiting on my benches to come back... once they are back in place everything can return to normal.

Well done Lee!
Very nice buy indeed.
To restore a bike like that is a pleasure, because it is all there and not all broken.
We 2 strokers should aim to do a bit of a show in Northham and atract like minded people and, maybe, uncover some more gems!
