you wont find many places that will stock exhausts....
check out The Tuning Works as they have a range available
    also check out Tyga Performance
the exhausts are bolt on but you will have to check your jetting.

i had my rs250 come with arrow exhausts they were good but rather lacking noise and had a weak power band. i got the tyga exhausts in mild steel (stainless was too expensive at the time) i found the only issue with the tyga exhausts was that the heat film peeled off after a few rides and iv been told that they may turn a brown colour due to heat. but my power band with tyga is from 7500 to about 12000 real strong powerband and it was all bolt on no problems. great product and so much lighter then arrow.

But youll need to change your jetting

the gp style system is meant to be easier to fit then the "one side only kit". the only issue is you have to mount the exhaust can bracket on the bottom of your pillion peg mount so having the pillion peg mount would be the only issue (seeing lots of bikes dont). From what im told you get a slightly higher hp gain from the gp system but it will only be as good as your jetting/ engine tune

As for turn around it turned up in about a week and a half. On a performance note as well go to the aprilia forum and have a look at the performance exhaust comparison thread. Exhaust Pipes Comparison Thread! Let's put all of them. - ApriliaForum sponsored by AF1 Racing, inc. from what iv read tyga gives the highest hp gain for least money spent.

tygas are good for their money, but you get what you pay for.

I found them to be easy to fit but not a lot of clearance to the back wheel with the GP style

Flange was a good design and hasn't leaked yet

The clear coating on the mild steel didn't last long, a few hundred ks

They fall short when compared to something like a JL in terms of finish and performance, but you get that when the JLs cost a fair bit more.

On the rs250 a rejet it required, they get pretty fluffy. A MJ and PJ size smaller at least.

Do you still have to rejet if changing to A pipercross filter?

Nobody mentioned rejetting on AF1 when I asked a similar question

The piperx will flow more, more air with same amount of fuel = leaner, whether that means a rejet depends on your spec. A stock bike will be fine they are IMO a bit rich from the factory

one big thing to consider with pipes is if you crash the bike more offten then not the pipes will take a hit major dints will write off the pipes. so spending big isnt always great.

and @Gangus what do you mean by flat spot? sounds to me like you may be running to lean or rich my bike has no flat spot during the whole rev range. getting the powerband to start at 7500 seems prity normal from what iv read and been told.

It's worse using a rgv sapc. The power plateau's prior to powerband. You can even see it on the dynograph on their own website lol!!!!

Stock rs250s with tygas suffer the flat spot as well... just not as bad because of the aprilia SAPC.

Depends what the overall picture is, if you've increased compression which sounds like you have, I have found that it has the effect of improving mid range more than anything else which is where the flat spot occurs. Reducing squish from what I have read is more about reducing the chance of detonation occurring more than a state of tune. If you've changed your jetting then all bets are off RE the tyga issue in question.
