    RS125 Full Arrow Zorst

Howdy All, A little update on my mods.

Just installed my full arrow zorst system (thanks loud). Needed a few minor adjustments to middle and rear brackets, but otherwise fitted well. Looks a hell of a lot better then the standard.

After rejetting the carb to a 130 main jet and adjusting the needle to 2nd notch from the top - cranked her over. OMFG these thing sound mean and angry with a straight through system. Bloody loud as well.

Boggyness I have been experienceing down low is now gone but now a little boggy mid range untill the powervalve opened. Looks to be running a little lean, so next step is a needle adjustment to the next notch or bottom to see what happens in the mid range. Alternativly I also have a larger jet (thanks again loud ) which will most probably be way to rich but would suffice as a start point for tuning betwen 130 and 155.

Has anyone only made adjustments to their RS with only a full arrow zrost system and no other mods that could let me know what jet/needle combo worked best for this. Aprilia Fourms in the UK are saying around 130-132 with various needle settings.

Mate you could have worn gloves to install the chamber, that took me ages to polish

Also the jets were 130 and 155, not 230 - 230 is massive!

When i installed my arrow (hope u removed the.noise restriction gasket)with the phbh28 carby I actually went down 5 jets size from 128 to 122, needle second notch from top.
Now with the 34mm carby, went down from a 160 standard to a.155 and pilot down from 40 to 36, needle top notch and now.screams and hauls ass. Plugs a nice tan colour. She really is running.great now and sounds angry. Revs out to 12k easily, and now thinking of porting. Neighbours hate me.
Damn I love 2 strokes, wish I could get my hands on a 250, either an NSR (always wanted one) or an RGV or an Rs250.
Nothing quite like a 2 banger on song, I mean its always a toss up.between.the 600 and the RS.
Anybody have an NSR lying around?

Thanks Pesty, Yeah I also wasn't a huge fan of the look-a-like post 06 RS125 Arrow End Can, however now i've bolted it onto the bike, it accutaly suits this older model quite well, infact the lines suit far better then the round end can like comes standard. In saying that the End Can on Loud's bike (JM?? Carbon Fibre) looks the part!!!

Bratt01 - Thanks, i'll give the downjet a go if I have no luck going up a jet, thanks for the pointer! just making sure i'm getting enough fuel in it to ride the 20km to Motomax for tuning I've got the PHBH28 in mine, its a 02 model.
