    Stroke me, stroke me

Mate of mine is in the market for a bike, has ridden a bit before & this will become his going for a blat bike mainly on the w/e, no commuting.

I have managed to pique his interest in getting a 250 stroker as it is unlikely he'll go for anything bigger for a goodly while & he wants summat that'll be a riders bike & a fun toy for the occasional trackday.

He knows they take a bit more TLC than a diesel & he's reasonably mech minded so will be doing the basic maintenance himself.

Would like a bike in good mechanical nick, cosmetics not really a prob.

So all this being said what is available from the peeps here and/or what would be a good model to start with for roughly what budget; max budget would prob be around $5k, a touch more if necessary for the right ride.

That would be the bike I'd buy

Way cheaper than doing the work yourself, plus the bike looks the goods too

The only thing I'd say about that, is there aren't shitloads of spares for the 3xv's.

RZ parts are only a few kind words to Nath away.

Ritza's RZ is a beatiful example. Alot of attention to detail put into it. I saw a fair amount of the progress as the project was nearing its end. It really shows when you see it in person.
I love two strokes. Because they annoy the shit out of people.

so long as your mate can keep the oil reservoir topped up, the rz parallel twin is a bullet proof engine platform dont need to re-ring every 10,000km.

the gearboxes and bottom ends are also bullet proof- its not uncommon to stroke and overbore the motors way past 350cc on stock gbox.

they are good bikes, especially with freshened up RGV suspension, rims and brake components.

the yellow can be painted over easily enough as well.

Thanks for the info on the reliability g0zer.

He's had a look at the piccies & is very interested, I'd say ritza gonna get a call very soon.

Ironically, yellow was stated as the preferred colour so this fits the bill amazingly well.

Only thing I don't like about it myself is the headlight setup but that's just personal preference stuff & would be changed if I bought it for me.

    Noice RZ ritza!!

did I mention I have a Hotrods 10mm stroker crank for one of these babies? oh and 38mm TMX carbs , UNI pod filters , porting templates , Boisen carbon reeds , spare ignitors , stock carbs (new) , clutch perch and cable etc, etc, etc

The RZ is the goods , far easier/cheaper to maintain , more comfortable and a better allrounder than say an RGV IMO
.... at 90+ ponies if set up right they go pretty hard too

    Pls excuse hijjack

Don't you have to do case mods for a +10?

How much time will that add to the build?
