Even a broken clock tells the correct time twice a day
I believe they have been superseded by the BT003, I source a set for my supermoto about 3 years ago from a racing team 120/70 and 140/70 and was told at the time they would be the last, I couldn't get them through shops or wholesale even then and they only showed up on the Japanese site.
If you can find some they're great, excellent traction from cold edge to edge, slightly slippy in the wet when pushing hard but not dangerously so, I got just over 1500 kms of hard riding out of them.
Do you remember the good old days before the internet?
when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.

Unless i missed it in the last 6 months, the BT090's havent been superseded.
I hated the BT090 on my tard, once i had worn them out i moved to a 003. I thought they squirmed a bit with a little brake and lean going at the same time, where as the 003's seemed to stick great.
Was what I was told when I went to great lengths to get some in 08
I might have to try the 003s myself since I already threw it down the road on touring tyres, they were the only bridgestones Jake Wilson were selling in a 150, I won't make that mistake again just thought it would be nice to get more than 1500km from a set![]()

Before i sold my road tard i was thinking about putting the pilot road 3's on it. Maybe look into trying them, a lot of good reviews and when i was searching they made a 150.
Gday 180.
Always been a Bridgestone bloke and have a range of bikes
wearing 016 or 003's. Happy as Larry with both of the above including
the odd trackday. Cant reallly tell any grip variation between the two but the
003's wear out quicker.
Was going to run 016's with a 150/18 rear on my vj21 but decided to give Dunlop Alpha 12H's
a go as they do a 140/18 rear which is the recommended size. Couldn't be happier. Very, very grippy
and can handle anything the 21 can throw at them including track work. They are made for lightweight
two strokes and 400's like KR1s, RGV, NC30's.
Tyres this good should have been around twenty years ago!
Suzi
ps She looks great with the cowl on! Just gotta get rid of the rear pegs![]()
Ah, the curse of the 18" rear. I have the same problem with my NC30. I've been running a BT016, but I don't think they come narrow enough for you. I even had to run a size up 160 instead of 150 because of difficulty of supply.
I've also tried to get BT090s to no avail. They're either not made anymore, or not brought to Australia anymore. You also can't get 003s in 18".
I'm going to be moving to Dunlop GPR-Alphas as well, like Suzi. Like Suzi says, it's Dunlop's top of the line road tyre, designed specifially for small bikes. They're a race capable tyre, and should outride you until you're setting fast lap times at the track.
