    Wanted: NSR250

Anyone out there know of anyone with an NSR up for grabs?

Looking for an MC18 or later (Would actually prefer the MC21) to do the full Tyga works too, including 300cc kit.

Shabby, smashed fairings and rattly pistons rings, leaking forks, blown shocks, are a non issue...everything will be getting the freshness.

Yeah, saw it but WA is a bit far from Melbourne to toddle over and pick it up. Otherwise it would be ideal.

    Thank you Captain Obvious.

You might take the time to notice though, somehwere in the 4000 posts you made, there are a lot of non WA based people on here as well.

No problems, glad I could help.

The vast majority of active people round here are WA based.

In any case if you were looking for a bike over east only then maybe specifying that particular point in your OP would have been beneficial.

next time just make it really obvious for those of us that read the content of the thread and don't necessarily read the join date, location, bike type and amount of posts for every posted thread.

Yeah. Fair call. My apologies for being such a wanker above.

Mind you if transport costs aren't outlandish, WA ain't outta the picture.

There's an MC18 on eBay for $3,500 in QLD if that sounds any better? And that's about it.

If you want to do the Tyga thing properly then you want an MC21.

I looked out for an MC21 for several months. 6 were for sale during that time - 2 in SA, 2 in VIC, 1 in NSW and 1 in QLD. Prices varied from $2,000 (unlic track bike) to $9,000 (Tyga kitted). They sell very quickly when priced right. The 2 in SA were dry clutch models, the rest were wet.

$1,500 for a Dry Clutch MC21 is a bargain. If it's running at all then it's a steal. Freight from WA to VIC is deemed as "Back load", it costs less as they're happy to have something in the back of the truck for the drive home.

But if you're not interested then someone should PM Thro, he's in Perth and would love one of these. It'd be mine if I hadn't bought the RS250.

Yeah. The bike itself looks like a good base to start from. I've been calling round the bike movers and prices are pretty standard. Seller is reasonably happy to accommodate the faffing around with a transporter.

    Any recommendations?

Him- it cannot be started as fuel tank not connected
Me- Ok so it just needs the fuel tank connected and it will run

I will keep you posted on the experience.

    Hi Gangus,

They can import them but they are imported as parts and can only be used on track due to the difficulties getting compliance for the road.

Bloke i talked to seemed friendly and helpful so I'll let everyone know what the experience is like. It looks like they do lots of boy racer stuff for the 4 wheel set...

No issue for me i'm planning the tyga works and a replica paint job (pot noodle maybe) for a track/race bike.

    good to know.
Checked out their site and have seen some very cool parts come up, but they advised that you can only browse bike auctions at the moment.

    So this:
    ¡ù¡ù¡ù¡¡£Î£Ó£Ò£²£µ£°£Ò¡¡£Í£Ã£²£±¡¡Í×À°È÷¤Ç¤¹¡¡¡ù¡ù ¡ù - Yahoo!¥ª¡¼¥¯¥·¥ç¥ó

has been acquired on my behalf. There are a couple of interesting things, like rigid footpegs and no exhaust hangers, plus no mileage is mentioned in the Ad that I could see. I'm planning a top end rebuild at least so not overly ocncerned. It still looks like a relatively clean straight bike.

Bike cost is about $1860, once I have full cost of import and fees i'll let you know.
