Or possibly welcome back
After much procrastination, stalling, lack of time etc etc etc I'm close to getting my KR1S back on the road.
I have been painting it and only have a small amount to go. As MX season has finished I will be getting some "Bert" time in the near future.
While the bike has been parked I've been starting it about once a week, but today as "riding time" is drawing nearer I decieded to ride it around the yard at work.
I warmed it up, made sure it was up to temp before revving it into powerband and gave it a few squirts up and down the yard.
Pull into the workshop and am about to grab the chain lube on the nearest bench "cant hurt to give it a bit of lube" and hey presto, mechanically unsympathetic noise from the motor and stall.
It will start but backfires on the right cyl under 2k rpm, turns oner by hand without any bad feeling or noises but has very little compression.
Looks like I will finish (or near enough) working the body and then work on the motor
No 2T fun in the near future makes Bert a sad boy
