Wow great memories, I had just returned from Australia for my first trip home to see the folks. They were less than impressed when I went to that meeting 24 hours after lobbing on their doorstep.
Went to another at Oulton Park when Barry Sheene drove his Roller round the track waving to the crowd. Great rider, had too many tickets on himself though.

He was balsy on those old dangerous tracks though, and I beleive was a key player in making them safer, earlier.
