Thumbs up Welcome to twowheelswiki - the new PSB initiative

Welcome to the dawn of a new motorcycle resource, and we need your help to make it happen.

twowheelswiki.com - Main Page - Two Wheel Wiki

What is twowheelswiki.com?

Quite simply twowheelswiki.com is a free content encyclopaedia project that operates the same way as the iconic Wikipedia Encyclopaedia.

The main point of difference is twowheelswiki.com has been created as resource that is specific to motorcycle related subjects for use by motorcyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts.

How does it get content?

The content of twowheelswiki.com is created by you, the enthusiasts. Anyone can be a contributor and you don’t need to have specialised qualifications or be an authority on the subject to contribute. Anyone can contribute on any subject that takes their fancy. So long as you have an interest, a thirst to contribute truthful and interesting facts, then you can help out.

OK, so how do I contribute?

Lets say you have an interests in ‘Suzuki GSX-R1000’s’ or say.... good techniques in 'how tighten a motorcycle chain’, and you want to contribute on either of these subjects. Firstly you do a search for this motorcycle or ‘bike chain’ in the search box to the top right of twowheelswiki.com to see if someone else has already created an article on the particular subject.

If there is already an article created by someone before you and you think you can contribute further on the same subject, or even correct any factual errors that may be present in the article, then all you do is click the ‘edit’ link and away you go, start typing.

If there is no article in existence, the search result will tell you and give you the option to “create this page”, and away you go, you can begin drafting an article for others to read on your virginal subject.

There are various recourses available which will assist you in formatting your page, link off site, and also link on site to other subjects that have been created on twowheelwiki.com which you may refer to in your contribution.

How do I get started?

Simply start editing by clicking the edit button on any subject. it is helpfull if you are a registered user which you can do by clicking the log in/create account link to the left. This allows you to use advanced editing features and track your own changes.

K go!

Like any new thing, it will take time for twowheelswiki.com to be a useful resource for all motorcycle enthusiasts around the globe. But we have to start somewhere and you and the Perthstreetebikes.com (PS community can be ones that got this baby rolling.
Good luck! If you need help, please visit the perthstreetbikes.com twowheelswiki discussion forum here where we can all share the knowledge in finding our way through this new PSB initiative.

Excellent, wondered how long it was going to be...

Anyone looking to seed it with that 0.013% of PSB posts which contain something useful?

Uh, I'm not one for much originality... But if I find awesome "How To"s on PSB or wikipedia or somewhere that isn't copyrighted can I copy and paste?

Guys, take a look at your typical wiki article: such as Richard Hammond - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thats the typical sort of layout and artcle content as an example.

Try to avoid the two-liner, create the content in word or something until you have enuf to make the page edit worth while I recon.

I know we gota start somewhere but if we can set a benchmark for a level of quality to start off with it will make it a better site at the end of the day.

Yeah, I was stuck for ideas so I thought I might provide some info on the bike I ride... Not very refined, but thats what is great about a wiki... We can always clean it up and make it prettier later

Deej, I was just attempting to get my PSB habit under control and you throw a wiki at us.
*sigh*
