Helmet camera

My adventure with cameras and bikes continues with with the Sony HXR-MC1 attached to my helmet, the recorder in a back pack gives several hours of 1080 res video.

how much did this setup set you back cos I have been thinking about doing something similar

SONY lent it to me on demo, around $5,000.
I think i'll keep my money for a bigger bike

Yeh, I know the guy at sony,
He offered it for demo. i usualy use a different camera mounted on my bike, so this gave the oportunity to try helmet camera with a wide angle lens.

i did a rough line up on the helmet and went for a ride, i didnt want to be distracted while riding so i put the recoder out of sight. so its a case of hope the vision looks good.

I played around with a couple of helmet cam setups a while ago. I didnt like them because it turns out I move my head around far too much to get quality footage. I religiously look down every singly side street for cars and generally just look around a lot, so watcing back the footage was painful
